TSG is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our Financial Services team.

The Staff Accountant at TSG is responsible for maintaining general ledgers and preparing internal financial statements for assigned clients. You will be responsible for monthly reconciliation of various types of accounts including bank and credit card accounts. The Staff Accountant reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies to financial entries and is responsible for documenting and reporting findings. The Staff Accountant will prepare individual and corporate tax returns. The Staff Accountant is a self-motivated/self-starter who is able to work independently and collaboratively to drive results in a fast-paced environment.

General Responsibilities:

  • Performs monthly reconciliation of all bank and credit card statements for multiple entities
  • Tracks Accounts Receivable and Rent roll recording for 150+ rental units/properties
  • Tracks Accounts Payable and remits payments in a timely fashion
  • Makes deposits at the bank
  • Remits timely sales tax filings to the state
  • Prepares financial statements
  • Handles payroll calculations and processes payroll
  • Maintains filing record integrity and accuracy
  • Computes and records numerical data on an ongoing basis
  • Preparation of Individual and Corporate Tax returns

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Accounting)
  • Minimum of 3 years of Accounting and/or Tax experience
  • Microsoft Office 365 experience
  • QuickBooks experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Consulting with Government Services experience
  • United States Virgin Islands resident
